Title

Substitute resolution relating to the names of public rights of way in the area north of West Brown Deer Road between North 76^th Street and North 85^th Street, in the 9th Aldermanic District.

Analysis

This resolution accepts the names of the former private roads as the names of the recently dedicated public rights of way in the Northridge Mall complex.

Body

Whereas, on July 30, 2019 the Milwaukee Common Council passed Common Council File 190513, which dedicated as public right of way, the City-owned parcels containing the roads surrounding the parcel commonly known as Northridge Mall (the “Ring Roads”); and

Whereas, prior to dedication as public right of way, the Ring Roads were private roads that had been named as shown in the Exhibit attached to this file; and

Whereas, the City wishes to retain the names given to the Ring Roads when they were private roads; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, by the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the rights of way publicly dedicated in Common Council File Number 190513 retain the same names they had when they were private roads prior to their dedication as right of way as shown in the attachment to this file.
