Title

A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2019 rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service.

 

Analysis

This substitute ordinance changes the rates of pay in the following departments:

Department of City Development, Health Department, Department of Neighborhood Services

 

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 180628 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under Pay Range 1HX, delete the title of “Finance and Administration Manager (1)(6)”.

 

Part 2.  Part 1, Section 2 of ordinance File Number 180628 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under Pay Range 2FN, delete footnote designations “(1)” and “(9)” from and add footnote designations “(8)” and “(16)” to the title of “Environmental Health Coordinator (1) (9)”, delete footnotes “(1)” and “(9)” in their entirety, renumber remaining footnotes accordingly, and create footnotes “(8)” and “(16)” to read as follows:

 

“(8)                     Recruitment is at:

 

                     Biweekly                     2,286.54

                     Annual                      59,450.04”

 

“(16)                     Recruitment is at:

 

                     Biweekly                     2,355.14

                     Annual                      61,233.64”

 

Part 3.  Part 1, Section 2 of ordinance File Number 180628 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 23, 2019 - November 3, 2019):

 

Under Pay Range 2EN, add footnote designations “(15)” and “(30)” to the title of “Fire Protection Engineer” and renumber footnotes accordingly with footnotes “(15)” and “(30)” to read as follows:

 

“(15)                     Recruitment may be at any rate in the range based on experience and credentials with the approval of DER.”

 

“(30)                     Recruitment may be at any rate in the range based on experience and credentials with the approval of DER.”

 

Under Pay Range 2GN, add footnote designations “(12)” and “(24)” to the title of “Fire Protection Engineer II” and renumber footnotes accordingly with footnotes “(12)” and “(24)” to read as follows:

 

“(12)                     Recruitment may be at any rate in the range based on experience and credentials with the approval of DER.

 

“(24)                     Recruitment may be at any rate in the range based on experience and credentials with the approval of DER.”

 

Under Pay Range 2JN, delete footnote designations “(1)” and “(4)” from the title of “Fire Protection Engineer III”, add footnote designations “(4)” and “(8)” to the title of “Fire Protection Engineer III”, and renumber footnotes accordingly with footnotes “(4)” and ”(8)” to read as follows:

 

“(4)                      Recruitment is at the following rate and may be at any rate in the range based on experience and credentials with the approval of DER.

Annual                                          70,333.90”

 

“(8)                      Recruitment is at the following rate and may be at any rate in the range based on experience and credentials with the approval of DER.

 

Biweekly                     2,786.30

Annual                                          72,443.80”

 

Part 4.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

Part 5.  The provisions of Part 3 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 23, 2019 (November 3, 2019).

 

The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.

 

Part 6.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
