Title

Resolution approving the 2019 Update of the All Hazards Mitigation Plan for the City of Milwaukee.

Analysis

This resolution approves the 2019 All Hazards Mitigation Plan as an update to the 2011 All Hazards Mitigation Plan for the City of Milwaukee. The plan was prepared under the terms of an agreement between the City and the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Plan Commission (SEWRPC).  Grant funds have been used to pay for SEWRPC's work with the City providing an in-kind match.  The plan identifies various potential hazards (primarily natural hazards such as weather events) that the City could face and describes what can or should be done to mitigate them.  Adoption of the plan is required by the federal Emergency Management Administration for the City to be eligible for disaster assistance in the event of an actual disaster.

Body
