Analysis

In compliance with state law, this resolution establishes the rate of taxation for 2020 budget purposes as computed by the Commissioner of Assessments.

Body

Whereas, Section 65.07(1)(a), Wis. Stats., requires that the rate of taxation for the general city fund shall be established only by an affirmative vote of at least two-thirds of the members elected to the Common Council; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that under the requirements of s. 65.07(1)(a), Wis. Stats., the tax rate of the City of Milwaukee, as computed by the Commissioner of Assessments, resulting from budgetary totals adopted by the Common Council in November, 2019, shall be the tax rate of the City of Milwaukee for the General City Fund for the year 2020.
