Title
Substitute resolution determining it necessary to make various nonassessable public improvements at various locations and appropriating funds for these purposes with the City engineering cost estimated to be $245,000 for a total estimated cost of these projects being $3,543,000.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes engineering studies on projects which by City Charter are nonassessable. After design plans and estimates of costs have been prepared, a resolution authorizing construction will be submitted to the Common Council. The City cost for engineering these projects is estimated to be $245,000 with the total cost estimated to be $3,543,000.

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it is necessary and in the public interest to do the following described improvements according to City specifications:
6th Aldermanic District
W. Nash St. - N. 14th St. to N. 15th St. (SM495190050) Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $12,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $81,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2020 construction season.
7th Aldermanic District
N. 23rd St. - W. Locust St. to W. Chambers St. (SM495190045) Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $12,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $184,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2020 construction season.
N. 26th St. - W. Chambers St. to W. Burleigh St. (SM495190055) Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $12,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $230,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2020 construction season.

Bioretention Rehab at North 26th St and West Canal Street 2600 West Canal Street (SM499190010) Stormwater Quality. (Storm Water Quality - Nonassessable Water Quality Projects to meet TMDL Requirements -- $25,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $700,000. The project is anticipated to be completed in 2020.

N. 52nd St. W. North Ave. to 370’ of W. North Ave. (SM495190049) Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $12,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $125,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2020 construction season.

W. Meinecke Ave. - N. 51st St. to 100’ west of N. 51st St. (SM495190044) Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $10,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $70,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2020 construction season.
N. 51st St. - W. Garfield Ave. to W. Meinecke Ave. (SM495190048) Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $15,000. The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $382,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2020 construction season.

East and W. Becher St. - 200’ east of S. 1st St. to Kinnickinnic River (WT410200004) Hydrant and water main alterations. (Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 5010 -- $3,000; Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 6410 -- $12,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $125,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2020 construction season.

The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $147,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2020 construction season.
City Wide
ADA Handicap Ramp Replacement (ST211190172) Replace curb and gutter, sidewalk as necessary. (Nonassessable Reconstruction Paving Fund -- $50,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $500,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2020 construction season.

Further Resolved, That all City Departments are authorized to perform engineering, surveys, plan preparation, and determine an estimated cost thereof; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Department of Public Works is authorized to use the funding as specified in the above description of work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
