Analysis

This ordinance changes the number of members on the ambulance service board to include representatives of all 5 major hospital systems in Milwaukee. Currently, 2 representatives of the hospital systems serve on the board on a rotating basis.

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1. Section 75-15-2-a-0 and 6 of the code is amended to read:

 

75-15. Ambulance Certification Regulations.

 

2. AMBULANCE SERVICE BOARD.

 

a.                     Establishment. An [[8-member]]>>11-member<< ambulance service board is established consisting of:

 

a-6. Representatives [[of 2]] of the [[4]]>>5<< hospital systems of [[Wheaton/Franciscan, Aurora, Columbia/St. Mary’s and Froedert, appointed on a rotating basis biennually]] >>Aurora, Ascension, Children’s Hospital, Froedert, and Veterans Health Administration<<. A hospital representative shall not be a current medical director of a provider.

 

 

Part 2. The note appended to s. 75-15-2 of the code is repealed.
