Title
Substitute resolution authorizing the Department of Employee Relations to extend current agreements with DeltaDental, CarePlus Dental, and DentalBlue dental to provide dental services to City employees and retirees in 2010.
Body
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee has requested rates from the four current City dental providers -- one fee-for-service dental plan and three pre-paid dental plans; and
Whereas, First Commonwealth has decided not to participate in 2010, while the other three vendors have provided the City with rates for 2010 dental services, with changes from a 5% decrease to a 5% increase; and
Whereas, Employees can select from the three dental plans during open enrollment; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Department of Employee Relations is authorized to extend the current agreements with the three listed dental vendors to provide dental services in 2010 with the concurrence of the City Attorney’s office.
