Analysis
This substitute resolution authorizes a permanent communications easement from the City of Milwaukee at the property located at 1701 East College Avenue.
Body
Whereas, MKE Fuel Company LLC owns a property at 1701 East College Avenue and the City owns a property at 1701-R East College Avenue (the “Property”); and
Whereas, MKE Fuel Company LLC provides aviation fuel to the airlines at General Mitchell International Airport (“GMIA”) and is undertaking an aviation fuel conveyance project that will improve fueling service to GMIA; and
Whereas, MKE Fuel Company LLC has requested an approximately sixty-foot by twelve-foot permanent communications easement (“Easement”) on the City Property to accommodate a below ground fiber-optic line under a gravel driveway that is necessary for communication between the airlines and the tank farm operated by MKE Fuel Company LLC, a copy of which easement is attached to this Common Council File; and
Whereas, The City will be compensated by MKE Fuel Company LLC for this easement in the amount of $5,000; and
Whereas, The Easement and related map, copies of which are attached to this Common Council File; and
Whereas, The Department of City Development, Department of Public Works, and City Attorney’s Office have reviewed the Easement and have recommended its approval; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Easement with MKE Fuel Company LLC at the property at 1701 East College Avenue is approved and that the proper City officials are authorized to execute the easement; and, be it
