Title
Substitute resolution to dedicate certain City-owned land for public right-of-way purposes in the area north of West Brown Deer Road between North 76th Street and North 85th Street, in the 9th Aldermanic District.
Analysis
This substitute resolution permits the City of Milwaukee to dedicate City-owned land for public right-of-way purposes.
Body
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee (“City”) has fee title to the parcel of land comprising the private ring road at the former Northridge Mall; and
Whereas, The dedication of the ring road as public right-of-way will allow the City to maintain and make improvements to the ring road; and
Whereas, The City Plan Commission has reviewed and approved said dedication of land for public right-of-way purposes; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the following described City-owned land is set aside and dedicated for public right-of-way purposes:
Outlot 1, Block 1, Granville Station, according to the plat recorded as document No. 09615501, being a division of Parcel 2 and Parcel 3 of Certified Survey Map No. 7548, being a part of the Northwest 1/4, Northeast 1/4, Southeast 1/4, and Southwest 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 and Southwest 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 all in Section 4, Town 8 North, Range 21 East, in the City of Milwaukee, County of Milwaukee, State of Wisconsin; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the proper City officials are authorized to sign documents to dedicate land for public right-of-way purposes, as illustrated on the Dedication Map, a copy of which is attached to this Common Council File, and as legally described above, and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Engineer is directed to have a certified copy of this resolution recorded in the Office of the Register of Deeds of Milwaukee County.
