Analysis

Body
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (Authority) solicited sealed bids by Official Notice Number 57920 during the period March 8, 2019 through March 29, 2019 for Public Construction Phase 2 Paving at Westlawn Gardens Phase 2; and

WHEREAS, one sealed bid was received by the deadline of 2:00 PM (CDST) on March 29, 2019; and

WHEREAS, the sealed bid was received and publicly opened on March 29, 2019, during which bidding procedure was conducted in compliance with the requirements of local, state, and federal regulations; and

WHEREAS, Stark Pavement Corp., a qualified and competent bidder, submitted the lowest responsive and responsible bid in the amount of $998,708.75; therefore, be it,

RESOLVED, by the Commissioners of the Authority that they hereby authorize and approve accepting the bid of and entering into a contract with Stark Pavement Corp. for Public Construction Phase 2 Paving at Westlawn Gardens Phase 2; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that funds for these services will come from the Authority’s Central Office Cost Center (COCC), Capital Fund Program (CFP), and the City of Milwaukee; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper officers of the Authority be and hereby are authorized and directed to properly execute said contract for and on behalf of the Authority; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that if any extensions of the time of performance are needed, the Chairman and Secretary-Executive Director may approve such request without any further action of the Authority; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that all of above is contingent upon receiving the approval of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, if required; and, be it
