Title
A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2019 offices and positions in the City Service.
Analysis
This substitute ordinance changes the offices and positions in the following departments:
Department of Employee Relations, Health Department, Police Department
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 180629 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under “Health Department, Executive Leadership”, delete the title “Deputy Commissioner of “Policy, Innovation and Evaluation” and add the title “Deputy Commissioner of Policy, Innovation and Engagement”.
Under “Police Department, Community Outreach & Education”, add one position of “Police Sergeant”.
Under “Criminal Investigation Bureau”, add one position of “Police Sergeant”.
Under “Forensics”, delete four positions of “Police Identification Supervisor
Under “Human Resources Division”, add one position of “Police Sergeant”.
Under “Property Crimes”, delete three positions of “Police Lieutenant” and add three positions of “Police Sergeant”.
Under “Robbery Division”, delete three positions of “Police Lieutenant” and add three positions of “Police Sergeant”.
Under “Violent Crimes Division”, delete four positions of “Police Lieutenant” and add six positions of “Police Sergeant”.
Part 2. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 180629 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2019 - December 30, 2018):
Under “Department of Employee Relations”, modify the “Compensation and Pay Administration Services” section to read “Compensation and Pay Services”.
Under “Compensation and Pay Services”, delete one position of “Pay Services Specialist”, add one position of “HRIS Analyst”, and add one position of “Human Resource Assistant”.
Under “Operations Division, Employee Relations and Compliance”, delete one position of “Human Resource Assistant”.
Part 3. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 180629 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 14, 2019 - June 30, 2019):
Under “Health Department, Business Operations”, delete one position of “Finance and Administration Manager” and add one position of “Health Budget and Administration Manager”.
Part 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 5. The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2019 (December 30, 2018).
Part 6. The provisions of Part 3 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 14, 2019 (June 30, 2019).
The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.
Part 7. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
