Analysis
This resolution authorizes modifications to the contract to be used by the Community Development Grants Administration for 2019 community development activity and authorizes the execution of subcontracts and contracts by City departments receiving Community Development Block Grant funding in 2019.
Body
Whereas, The Common Council has previously approved funding recommendations for the City’s 2019 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program in Common Council File Numbers 180995 and 180996 (2019 CDGA Funding Resolutions); and
Whereas, As set forth in Common Council File Number 74-92-5v, the Common Council may make certain modifications to the form of contract to be used by the Community Development Grants Administration (CDGA) in the implementation of the CDBG program for 2019, authorize the execution of contracts and subcontracts by such City departments, and authorize an Interdepartmental Cooperation Agreement to be executed by CDGA and each City department which received CDBG funding in 2019; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the form of contract for use in implementation of the 2019 CDBG program by City departments and agencies receiving CDBG funds, in the form on file with the Common Council as set forth in the 2019 CDGA Funding Resolutions (Interdepartmental Cooperation Agreement) is approved, subject to such revisions and modifications as may be required from time to time by the City Attorney; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the form of contract for use in implementation of the 2019 Community Development Block Grant program, with entities other than City departments or agencies receiving CDBG funds, in the form on file with the Common Council as set forth in the 2019 CDGA Funding Resolutions (Form CDA-8, Contract for Services and Vendors), is also approved, subject to such revisions and modifications as may be required from time to time by the City Attorney; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the various City departments identified in the 2019 CDGA Funding Resolutions (including the City Comptroller, the Department of City Development, the Department of Neighborhood Services, the Health Department, RACM, and the Department of Administration) are authorized to enter into such contracts and subcontracts as may be required within the limits of the respective approved project budgets set forth in the 2019 CDGA Funding Resolutions, subject to the terms of the Interdepartmental Cooperation Agreement referred to previously and entered into between CDGA and each such City department.
