Substitute resolution determining it necessary to make various nonassessable public improvements at various locations and appropriating funds for these purposes with the City engineering cost estimated to be $424,300 for a total estimated cost of these projects being $4,907,000.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes engineering studies on projects which by City Charter are nonassessable. After design plans and estimates of costs have been prepared, a resolution authorizing construction will be submitted to the Common Council. The City cost for engineering these projects is estimated to be $424,300 with the total cost estimated to be $4,907,000.

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it is necessary and in the public interest to do the following described improvements according to City specifications:
1st Aldermanic District
W. Villard Ave. - N. 45th St. to N. 47th St. (WT410200613) Relaying water main. Replace lead services with copper as necessary. (Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 5010 -- $3,000; Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 6410 -- $12,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $165,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2020 construction season.
N. 26th St. - W. Ruby Ave. to W. Glendale Ave. (WT410200673) Relaying water main. Replace lead services with copper as necessary. (Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 5010 -- $3,000; Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 6410 -- $12,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $165,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2020 construction season.

Doing all the necessary grading pertaining to said work. (Non-Assessable Alley fund -- $15,000) The estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $55,000. The project is anticipated to be completed during the 2019 construction season

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
