Title

A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2019 rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service.

 

Analysis

This substitute ordinance changes the rates of pay in the following departments:

Fire and Police Commission, Health Department

 

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 180628 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2019 - December 30, 2018):

 

Under Pay Range 1CX, delete the title of “Environmental Health Field Supervisor”.

 

Under Pay Range 1FX, add footnote designation “(2)” to the title of “Human Resource Officer”.

 

Part 2.  Part 1, Section 2 of ordinance File Number 180628 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2019 - December 30, 2018):

 

Under Pay Range 2DN, delete the title of “Environmental Hygienist (13)” and delete footnote “(13)” in its entirety.

 

Under Pay Range 2FN, delete the title of “Consumer Environmental Health Coordinator (1)” and add the title of “Environmental Health Coordinator (1)”.

 

Under Pay Range 2HX, delete the title of “Health Personnel Officer (4)”.

 

Part 3.  Part 1, Section 2 of ordinance File Number 180628 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 5, 2019 - February 24, 2019):

 

Under Pay Range 2NX, delete the title “Emergency Communications and Policy Director”, add the title of “Emergency Management and Communications Director (1)”, and add footnote “(1)” to read as follows:

“(1)                     Recruitment at any point in the range with the approval of DER and the Chair of Finance and Personnel.”

 

Part 4.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

Part 5.  The provisions of Parts 1 and 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2019 (December 30, 2018).

 

Part 6.  The provisions of Part 3 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 5, 2019 (February 24, 2019).

 

The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.

 

Part 7.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
