Whereas, On October 17, 2017, the Common Council adopted File Number 170979, a resolution directing the City Clerk to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between Yolobe, Inc., and the City of Milwaukee authorizing the City to accept, as a gift, services from Yolobe, Inc., relating to design of DirectConnectMKE (formerly Click2Work) social media platform software that facilitates connecting and communicating with youth and young adults regarding jobs, internships, training, and professional connections; and

Whereas, On December 19, 2017, the Common Council adopted File Number 171279, a resolution approving a contract between Yolobe, Inc., and the City of Milwaukee relating to administration and implementation of DirectConnectMKE; and

Whereas, On December 18, 2018, the Common Council adopted File Number 181256, a resolution approving revised terms and conditions for the contract between the City and Yolobe, Inc; and

Whereas, It is in the City’s best interest to allow the Common Council-City Clerk to accept contributions from businesses and residents for support of DirectConnectMKE; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Common Council-City Clerk is authorized to accept and expend up to $100,000 in contributions for support of the DirectConnectMKE social media platform; and, be it

Further Resolved, That upon receipt and deposit of these funds, the City Comptroller is directed to establish a special account within the Common Council-City Clerk’s budget for expenditur...
