Body
Whereas, Victor L. Centeno filed two claims in the Equal Rights Division of the State of Wisconsin seeking damages for alleged instances of denial of statutory rights and retaliation under the WFMLA as an employee of the City of Milwaukee; and
Whereas, The title of those cases is Victor L. Centeno v. City of Milwaukee, ERD Case No. CR201801210 and CR201801798; and
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee carries potential liability for alleged instances of denial of statutory rights and retaliation as an employee of the City of Milwaukee; and
Whereas, The City Attorney recommends and the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee deems it is expeditious and just to settle this claim, and now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the proper City officers are directed to issue a City check in the amount of $15,000, payable to Client Trust Account, Alan Olson & Assoc., and to document payment with a 1099 form, upon receipt of a release of claims, approved as to form and execution by the City Attorney, and that these funds shall be charged to the Damages and Claims Fund, Account No. 0001-1490-S118-006300.
