Analysis
This resolution authorizes an easement for below and above ground electrical equipment on a City-owned property.
Body
Whereas, Wisconsin Electric Power Company, doing business as WE Energies, requested a ten-foot-wide permanent easement (“Easement”) on the City-owned property at 3244 West Capitol Drive; and
Whereas, The Easement will facilitate service needed at 3326 West Capitol Drive where a new Captain D’s restaurant development was approved by Common Council File No. 171380; and
Whereas, The Easement and related map, copies of which are attached to this Common Council File; and
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee (“City”) shall not require compensation for the Easement because the Easement provides improved electrical service for the planned development at 3326 West Capitol Drive; and
Whereas, The Department of City Development has reviewed the Easement and has recommended its approval; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Easement with Wisconsin Electric Power Company at the City-owned property at 3244 West Capitol Drive is approved and that the proper City officials are authorized to execute the Easement.
