Resolution approving the award of contract to Professional Service Industries Inc. (Waukesha, WI) for hazardous materials and environmental hazards management consulting services at various sites in the amount not to exceed $500,000.00

Body
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (Authority) solicited sealed proposals by Official Notice Number 57906 during the period October 19, 2018 through November 13, 2018 for Hazardous Materials and Environmental Hazards Management Consulting Services at Various Sites; and
WHEREAS, one sealed proposal was received by the deadline of 2:00 PM (CST) on November 13, 2018; and
WHEREAS, the sealed proposal was received and publicly opened on November 13, 2018, during which the proposal procedure was conducted in compliance with the requirements of local, state, and federal regulations; and
WHEREAS, Professional Service Industries Inc., the sole respondent and a qualified and competent firm, submitted a proposal that satisfied the criteria enumerated in the request for proposals, and
WHEREAS, Professional Services Industries Inc. submitted a schedule of proposed fees, its best and final offer, for services to be rendered on an as-needed basis, and said schedule of proposed fees was found to be reasonable and comparable to fees paid on the current contract for these services; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the Commissioners of the Authority that they hereby authorize and approve accepting the proposal of and entering into a contract with Professional Service Industries Inc. for Hazardous Materials and Environmental Hazards Management Consulting Services at Various Sites in the amount of $500,000.00 not-to-exceed for an initial period of one year (with renewal options for up to four additional years) for services on an as-needed basis; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that funds for these services will come from various sources as needed; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper officers of the Authority be and hereby are authorized and directed to properly execute said contract for and on behalf of the Authority; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that if any extensions of the time of performance are needed the Chairman and Secretary-Executive Director may approve such request without any further action of the Authority; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that all of above is contingent upon receiving the approval of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, if required; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that all acts previously performed relative to this matter by the Commissioner and the Secretary-Executive Director of the Authority be and hereby are approved, ratified, and confirmed in all respects.
