Analysis
This resolution establishes Harvest Fest as an official City event and authorizes the City Clerk’s Office to accept and expend contributions for Harvest Fest. The fest is held annually at Harold S. Vincent High School and features games, food, hay rides, pumpkins and a petting zoo and highlights the City’s partnership with Milwaukee Public Schools.

Body
Whereas, Harvest Fest is a community event for people of all ages to celebrate the autumn season and its bounty; and

Whereas, Harvest Fest highlights the Milwaukee Public Schools’ robust agriculture, culinary, botany and aquaponics programs; and

Whereas, Harvest Fest is held annually at Harold S. Vincent High School and features games, food, hay rides, pumpkins and a petting zoo; and

Whereas, The Milwaukee Public Schools’ culinary program provides food for this event; and

Whereas, Students in the agriculture program sell organic soaps and body products made from ingredients harvested from the school’s farm; and

Whereas, Harvest Fest attracts residents of Milwaukee, from both within and outside of the 9th Aldermanic District, to come together as a community and to support the students who are participating in the agriculture program; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Common Council designates Harvest Fest as an official City event and to continue to support the Milwaukee Public Schools’ agriculture program; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Clerk’s Office is authorized to accept up to $100,000 in contributions to support Harvest Fest; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is directed to transfer appropriations and estimated revenues from the Special Purpose Account-Contributions, Account Number 0001-2110-0001-D001-0...
