Analysis

This resolution authorizes the proper City officers to execute a Quit Claim Deed (QCD-2885) document conveying the sanitary sewer located in vacated South 2^nd Street between West Becher Street and its northerly terminus, in the 14^th Aldermanic District. The sewer is being conveyed because it is no longer needed for public use.

Body

Whereas, South 2^nd Street between West Becher Street and its northerly terminus was vacated on July 31, 2018 by Common Council File Number 180064; and

Whereas, The vacated land is now owned by Becher Development, LLC; and

Whereas, Said sewer no longer serves the public interest; and

Whereas, Becher Development, LLC has agreed to accept ownership of said sewer; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper City officers, including the DPW Commissioner, are hereby authorized: (i) to sign the Quit Claim Deed document (QCD-2885), in the form and substance submitted to this file (or in substantially the same form and substance as submitted, and to effectuate the intent of this resolution); and (ii) to cause the same to be recorded in the Milwaukee County Register of Deeds Office.
