Body
WHEREAS, portions of the Westlawn public housing development (“Westlawn”) are in need of redevelopment; and

WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (HACM) received an allocation of Low Income Housing Tax Credits from the Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority for the purpose of developing Westlawn Renaissance III LLC project, specifically identified as Buildings 2.2 and 2.3; and

WHEREAS, HACM was awarded a Choice Neighborhood Implementation Grant from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) and is also part of HUD’s Rental Assistance Demonstration Program; and

WHEREAS, Travaux, Inc. (the Company) being an instrumentality of HACM is strategically positioned to provide this service both to HACM and to entities outside of its portfolio; and

WHEREAS, the President recommends that Travaux, Inc. enter into a contract with Westlawn Renaissance III LLC.; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that Travaux, Inc. will enter into contract as the General Contractor for Westlawn Renaissance III LLC project; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the related Construction Budget for the construction of this project is hereby approved and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper officers of the Company are hereby authorized and directed to properly execute said contract for and on behalf of the Company; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that if any extensions of the time of performance and changes in contract amount due to valid change orders are needed, the President may approve such request without any further action of the Company; and, be it
