Title

A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2018 offices and positions in the City Service.

Analysis

This substitute ordinance changes the offices and positions in the following departments:

Department of City Development, Health Department, Police Department

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 170681 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under “Department of City Development, General Management and Policy Development Decision Unit, Real Estate and Development”, add footnote designation “(X)” to the title of “Community Outreach Liaison (Y)”.

 

Under “Health Department, Lead Hazard Reduction Demonstration Grants (HUD)(RR)”, add one position of “Environmental Health Services Manager (X)(Y)(RR)”.

 

Under “Lead Poisoning Control Program (CDBG)”, add one position of “Public Health Nurse Supervisor (X)(G)(TT)”.

 

Part 2.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 170681 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2018 - December 31, 2017):

 

Under “Police Department, Forensics”, delete five positions of “Prisoner Processors”, delete one position of “Civilian Forensics Supervisor”, add five positions of “Forensic Identification Processor”, and add one position of “Forensic Processor Supervisor”.

 

Part 3.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 170681 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 23, 2018 - November 4, 2018):

 

Under “Health Department, Family and Community Health Services Division, Empowering Families of Milwaukee Program (E)”, delete one position of MCHVP Program Manager (X)(E)(Y)”, add one position of “Empowering Families of Milwaukee Program Manager (X)(E)(Y)”, delete two positions of “Health Project Coordinator - MCHVP (X)(E)(Y)”, add two positions of “Health Project Coordinator - Empowering Families of Milwaukee (X)(E)(Y)”, delete one position of “Health Project Coordinator - MCHVP (0.6 FTE) (X)(E)(Y)”, and add one position of “Health Project Coordinator - Empowering Families of Milwaukee (0.6 FTE) (X)(E)(Y)”.

 

Under “Police Department”, amend the section title “Neighborhood Patrol Bureau” to read “Patrol Bureau”, amend the section title “Investigations & Intelligence Bureau” to read “Criminal Investigation Bureau”, and amend the section title “Risk Management” to read “Administration Bureau”.

 

Under “Office of the Chief”, delete one position of “Administrative Assistant II” and add one position of “Administrative Assistant III”.

 

Under “Patrol Bureau”, delete one position of “Administrative Assistant II” and add one position of “Administrative Assistant III”.

 

Under “District 1”, delete six positions of “Police District Office Assistant” and add six positions of “Police District Administrative Assistant”.

 

Under “District 2 and Weed & Seed Initiative”, delete eight positions of “Police District Office Assistant” and add eight positions of “Police District Administrative Assistant”.

 

Under “District 3”, delete eight positions of “Police District Office Assistant” and add eight positions of “Police District Administrative Assistant”.

 

Under “District 4”, delete eight positions of “Police District Office Assistant” and add eight positions of “Police District Administrative Assistant”.

 

Under “District 5”, delete eight positions of “Police District Office Assistant” and add eight positions of “Police District Administrative Assistant”.

 

Under “District 6”, delete eight positions of “Police District Office Assistant” and add eight positions of “Police District Administrative Assistant”.

 

Under “District 7”, delete eight positions of “Police District Office Assistant” and add eight positions of “Police District Administrative Assistant”.

 

Under “Criminal Investigation Bureau”, delete one position of “Administrative Assistant II” and add one position of “Administrative Assistant III”.

 

Under “Administration Bureau”, delete one position of “Administrative Assistant II” and add one position of “Administrative Assistant III”.

 

Under “Community Outreach & Education”, add one position of “Administrative Specialist - Senior”.

 

Under “Police Academy”, delete one position of “Administrative Assistant II”, add one position of “Administrative Assistant III”, and delete one position of “Office Assistant II”.

 

Under “Human Resources Division”, delete one position of “Office Assistant IV” and add one position of “Human Resources Assistant”.

 

Under “Medical Section”, delete one position of “Office Assistant IV” and add one position of “Human Resources Assistant”.

 

Part 4.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

Part 5.  The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2018 (December 31, 2017).

 

Part 6.  The provisions of Part 3 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 23, 2018 (November 4, 2018).

 

The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.

 

Part 7.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
