This resolution authorizes the Milwaukee Police Department to accept a donation of 53 LED Headlights for the Motorcycle Unit of the Milwaukee Police Department from J.W. Speaker. These lights and services are valued at approximately $37,000. These lights will be installed on the MPD motorcycle fleet.
Body:
Whereas, Section 304-24 of the City of Milwaukee Code of Ordinances regulates the receipt, appropriation, and expenditure of contributions received by the City; and
Whereas, J.W. Speaker has offered to supply and install 53 LED lights on the MPD Motorcycle Fleet; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the City of Milwaukee Police Department is authorized to accept a donation of these 53 LED lights from J.W. Speaker; and, be it
Further Resolved, That such authority to accept donations for said purpose shall continue, unless otherwise rescinded or amended by future Common Council action.
