Analysis
This resolution approves a lease between the City of Milwaukee, acting through the Milwaukee Police Department and MCEC Development, LLC for stable facilities for the Mounted Patrol Unit.
Body
Whereas, MCEC Development, LLC (“Developer”) will be purchasing the property located at 143 E. Lincoln and will be constructing a community equestrian center (“Facility”) on the property; and
Whereas, The Developer wishes to lease the Facility to the City of Milwaukee, acting through the Milwaukee Police Department, and the City wishes to lease the Facility from the Developer; and
Whereas, The Office of City Attorney has reviewed the proposed lease, attached hereto as Exhibit A, and has approved the form and contents as such; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the lease agreement between the City of Milwaukee and MCEC Development, LLC, substantially in the from attached to this file is hereby approved; and be it
Further Resolved, That the proper City officials authorized and directed to enter into such lease agreement on behalf of the City; and be it
Further Resolved, That the proper City officials, in consultation with the City Attorney's office, are authorized to make non-substantive changes to the lease, without further Common Council action as necessary to achieve the intent of the City's action.
