This resolution authorizes the Department of Public Works to accept a gift from Domino’s Pizza to provide funds for filling potholes.
Body
Whereas, Section 304-24 of the City of Milwaukee Code of Ordinances regulates the receipt, appropriation, and expenditure of contributions received by the City; and
Whereas, Domino’s Pizza wishes to improve road conditions by providing funds to the City to fill potholes; and
Whereas, Domino’s Pizza desires to donate these funds to the City as part of its “Paving for Pizza” program; and
Whereas, The Department of Public Works shall use all donated funds from Domino’s Pizza’s Paving for Pizza program for filling potholes in the City; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public Works is authorized to accept a gift of funds for filling potholes from Domino’s Pizza; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the proper City officials are directed to execute an agreement between the City of Milwaukee and Domino’s Pizza for the donation of funds for filling potholes; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Common Council expresses its sincere appreciation to Domino’s Pizza for this generous gift.
