Title

Resolution approving a Land Disposition Report for the property at 143 East Lincoln Avenue, in the 14th Aldermanic District.

Analysis

This resolution will permit the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee to convey said land according to the conditions in a Land Disposition Report.

Body

Whereas, The Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee (“Authority”) adopted the 131 East Lincoln Avenue Redevelopment Plan (“Plan”) on February 12, 1981 and the land was subdivided in 1987 for Klement’s Sausage Company to develop its manufacturing facility on the southern portion of the site at 2650 South Chase Avenue; and

 

Whereas, The Authority owns the northern portion of the former Plan area known as 143 East Lincoln Avenue (the “Property”); and

 

Whereas, The 131 East Lincoln Avenue Redevelopment Plan expired in 2006; and

 

Whereas, On June 21, 2018, the Authority held a Public Hearing on the proposed sale of the Property as required by Wisconsin Statutes; and

 

Whereas, Pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes and as a condition precedent to the sale, lease or transfer of land, the Authority submits herewith a Land Disposition Report describing the terms and conditions of the proposed sale; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Land Disposition Report dated June 21, 2018, with respect to the proposed sale of the following Property, is approved:
