Title

Resolution authorizing the issuance of a street occupancy permit to VJS Construction Services for construction activities at North Prospect Avenue, North of East Royall Place and South of East Kane Place, adjacent to the property at 1756 North Prospect Avenue in the 4th Aldermanic District.

Analysis

This resolution authorizes City officials to issue an occupancy permit to VJS allowing them to occupy the eastern sidewalk, parking lane, and travel lane of North Prospect Avenue from East Kane Place to a point approximately 400 feet south.

Body

Whereas, VJS Construction Services (VJS) has been contracted for construction services at 1756 North Prospect Avenue; and

 

Whereas, VJS has requested to occupy the eastern sidewalk, parking lane, and travel lane of North Prospect Avenue from East Kane Place to a point approximately 400 feet south beginning May 11, 2018 through up to December 31, 2019; and

 

Whereas, VJS will be responsible to contact all affected property owners and businesses informing them of the closure and the affected dates; and

 

Whereas, The Commissioner of Public Works may approve temporary occupancy of up to one-third of the width of the right of way while temporary use beyond that point must be approved by the Common Council; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to issue an occupancy permit to VJS allowing them to occupy the eastern sidewalk, parking lane, and travel lane of North Prospect Avenue from East Kane Place to a point approximately 400 feet south beginning May 11, 2018 through up to December 31, 2019; and be it
