Resolution approving an amendment to HACM’s Employee Handbook and Personnel Policy to update the Whistleblower Policy

Body
WHEREAS, is the policy of the of the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee to treat employees and prospective employees in a manner consistent with all applicable employment laws and regulations including, but not limited to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Equal Opportunity Act of 1972, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, and the Fair Labor Standards and
WHEREAS, HACM has determined that there is a need for an addition to its personnel policies in the form of a Whistleblower Policy to ensure that employees are treated in a manner consistent with current laws and regulations.
THERBY LET IT BE RESOLVED, by HACM that the Whistleblower Policy is hereby adopted and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Whistleblower Policy shall apply to all Housing Authority City of Milwaukee, appointees, employees, and volunteers.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Secretary-Executive Director is hereby authorized to add the Whistleblower Policy to HACM’s current employee handbook rules effective immediately.
