Body
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, by Resolution File Number 180004, adopted April 17, 2018, designated August 20-26, 2018, as Hip Hop Week MKE; and
Whereas, Hip Hop Week MKE was created to engage all city residents in a celebration of hip hop music and to promote financial literacy, civic engagement, voter registration and healthy living; and
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee may receive contributions from community residents and businesses to provide for the expenses of the Hip Hop Week MKE event; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Common Council-City Clerk is authorized to accept up to $100,000 of contributions for the Hip Hop Week MKE event and to expend such funds for this purpose or any purpose specified by the contribution, no more than the amount actually received, in accordance with established City policies and procedures; and, be it
Further Resolved, That upon receipt and deposit of these funds, the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to establish a special account within the Common Council-City Clerk’s budget for the expenditure of the contributions; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer appropriations and estimated revenue from the Special Purpose Account for Contributions, 0001-2110-0001-006000, and the Estimated Revenue Account for Contributions, 0001-2110-0001-009850, to the Common Council-City Clerk’s Special Account, 0001-1310-006000-DXXX and the Common Council-City Clerk’s Estimated Re...
