This resolution directs the installation and construction of certain public improvements which have been determined to be nonassessable by the Commissioner of Public Works. The City cost of the projects approved by this resolution is estimated to be $5,260,000. The total estimated cost of these projects is $5,621,000.

Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted preliminary resolutions determining it necessary and in the public interest to construct nonassessable improvements; and
Whereas, Plans, specifications and cost estimates have been prepared for the following described improvements:
1st Aldermanic District
Alley between W. Fairmount Ave., N. 51st St. and N. 53rd St. (SM499180006): File Number 171854: Install permeable pavers (Storm Water Quality - Nonassessable Water Quality Projects to meet TMDL Requirements -- $129,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $130,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2018 construction season.
N. 27th St.-- W. Capitol Dr. to W. Roosevelt Dr. (SM499180008) File Number 171854: Bioretention maintenance contract (Storm Water Quality - Nonassessable Water Quality Projects to meet TMDL Requirements -- $20,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $21,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2018 construction season.

E. Bradford Ave. - N. Frederick Ave. to N. Maryland Ave. (SM495170046): File Number 170392: Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $97,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $109,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2018 construction season.

W. Vliet St.-- N. 12th St. to N. 27th St. (WT410180007) File Number 170019: Relay and abandonment of water main. (Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 5010 -- $11,000; Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 6410 -- $2,549,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $2,650,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2018 construction season.
E. Wisconsin Ave. - N. Water St. to N. Broadway Ave. (SM495160078) File Number 160797: Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $43,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $58,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2018 construction season.

(Nonassessable Reconstruction Paving Fund - $25,000 additional funds). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $75,000. The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $500,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2018 construction season.
Handicap Ramp work to meet ADA requirements - High Impact 2018 Projects -- second contract (ST216180108) File Number 171591: Install curb and gutter and walk as necessary; (Nonassessable High Impact Streets -- $1,450,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $1,500,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2018 construction season.

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is authorized and directed to proceed with said work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Department of Public Works is authorized to use the funding as specified in the above description of work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
