Title

Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Department of City Development to apply for, accept and fund a United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, Economic Development Initiative Grant, in the amount of $247,500 with a City Share of $0.00 and a Grantor Share of $247,500. The purpose of the grant is to fund site remediation and improvements in the 30th Street Industrial Corridor-Esser Paint Site.
Body
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee (“City”) appears to be eligible for grant funds from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development for site remediation and improvements in the 30th Street Industrial Corridor-Esser Paint Site; and

Whereas, Operation of this Economic Development Initiative Grant from February 25, 2008 to September 30, 2013 will cost $247,500 of which, $0.00 (0 percent) will be provided by the City and $247,500 (100 percent) will be provided by the Grantor; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Department of City Development is directed to apply for and accept said grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change, as indicated in Section 304-81, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; and, be it

Further Resolved, That upon approval of this grant, the City Comptroller is authorized to:

1. Transfer to these accounts the additional amount required under the grant and City accounting policy, but not to exceed a 10 percent increase of the total amounts reserved for the Grantor’s Share and City Share of $5,000, whichever is greater, as follows:
