Title
A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2018 offices and positions in the City Service.
Analysis
This substitute ordinance changes the rates of pay in the following departments:
Department of City Development, Employes’ Retirement System, Health Department, Library
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 170681 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under “Health Department”, add footnote “(U)” and amend footnote “(TT)” to read as follows:
“(TT) To expire 12/31/18 unless the CDBG Lead Grant is extended.”
“(U) To expire 12/31/18 unless the Family Planning Grant, available from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, is extended.”
Under “Disease Control and Environmental Health Services Division, Childhood Lead Detection Program (Z)”, add one position of “Public Health Nurse 3 (X)(TT)” and add one position of “Health Project Assistant II (X)(TT)(RR)”.
Under “Sexually Transmitted Disease Clinic”, add footnote designation “(U)” to one position of “Communicable and Infectious Disease Program Manager (X)(Y)” and add two positions of “Medical Assistant (U)”.
Under “Family and Community Health Services Division”, add footnote designation “(U)” to one position of “Family and Community Health Operations Manager (X)(Y)” and add one position of “Medical Assistant (U)”.
Part 2. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 170681 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2018 - December 31, 2017):
Under “Department of City Development, Office of the Commissioner”, add one position of “Development Projects Manager”, add one position of “Economic Development Specialist-Lead”, and add one position of “Marketing and Communications Officer”.
Under “ Real Estate and Development”, add one position of “Assistant Director-Redevelopment Authority”, add one position of “Development Projects Coordinator”, add one position of “Real Estate Specialist”, add two positions of “Environmental Project Coordinator-Senior”, and add one position of “Graduate Intern”.
Under “Planning Section”, add three positions of “Graduate Intern”.
Under “Department of City Development”, delete the section “RACM - Real Estate & Development” and all ten of its positions; and delete the section “RACM - Development Team” and all two of its positions.
Under “Employes’ Retirement System, Fiscal Services”, delete one position of “Pension Accounting Specialist” and add one position of “Pension Accounting Manager”.
Under “Health Department, Family and Community Health Services Division, Men’s Health Program”, delete two positions of “Health Project Assistant-DAD (X)(E)”, delete one position of “Health Project Assistant-DAD (X)(E)(EEE)”, add two positions of “Health Project Assistant (X)(E)”, and add one position of “Health Project Assistant (X)(E)(EEE)”.
Under “Library, Administrative Services Decision Unit”, add one position of “Arts Project Coordinator (0.75 FTE) (A)” and add footnote “(A)” to read:
“(A) Position authority to expire 12/31/19 unless the Our Town Grant, available from the National Endowment for the Arts, is extended.”
Part 3. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 170681 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 2, 2018 - January 14, 2018):
Under “Health Department, Disease Control and Environmental Health Services Division”, delete one position of “Substance Abuse Program Manager (X)(Y)” and add one position of “Substance Abuse Prevention and Control Program Manager (X)(Y)”.
Part 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 5. The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2018 (December 31, 2017).
Part 6. The provisions of Part 3 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 2, 2018 (January 14, 2018).
The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.
Part 7. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
