This resolution authorizes settlement of claims raised by the plaintiff, David Grycowski, in the lawsuit entitled David J. Grycowski v. City of Milwaukee, Case No. 16-CV-5348, in the Milwaukee County Circuit Court for the total amount of $20,000.

Whereas, David Grycowski, C.I. File No. 1032-2016-1475, filed a lawsuit against the City of Milwaukee, Case No. 16-CV-5348; and
Whereas, David Grycowski and the City of Milwaukee have entered into an agreement to settle the claims raised by him in the above-referenced matter for the total amount of $20,000; and
Whereas, The City Attorney recommends that the City of Milwaukee settle this Matter; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that proper city officers be and hereby are authorized and directed to issue a City check in the amount of $20,000, payable to the order of David J. Grycowski, upon receipt of the signed settlement agreement and release, approved as to form and execution by the City Attorney; said amount to be charged to Damages and Claims Account - 636506 - Fund No. 0001 - Organization 1490 - Program 2631 - Sub Class S118; as soon as practicable, in full and final settlement of this lawsuit, David J. Grycowski v. City of Milwaukee, Milwaukee County Circuit Court Case No. 16-CV-5348; and, be it
Further Resolved, That for and in consideration of the above-referenced payment, Mr. Grycowski will provide to the City a release as approved by the City Attorney of any and all claims arising out of the facts alleged in the Complaint and giving rise to David J. Grycowski v. City of Milwaukee, Milwaukee County Circuit Court Case No. 16-CV-5348.
