WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee (Authority) solicited sealed bids by Official Notice Number 57826 during the period November 3, 2017 through November 30, 2017 for Hazardous Materials Abatement, Building Demolition, and Site Clearance (Phase 3) at Westlawn Gardens Phase 2; and

WHEREAS, three sealed bids were received by the deadline of 2:00 PM (CST) on November 30, 2017; and

WHEREAS, the sealed bids were received and publicly opened on November 30, 2017, during which bidding procedure was conducted in compliance with the requirements of local, state, and federal regulations; and

WHEREAS, Dakota Intertek Corp., a qualified and competent bidder, submitted the lowest responsive and responsible bid in the amount of $1,677,157.68, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, by the Commissioners of the Authority that they hereby authorize and approve accepting the bid of and entering into a contract with Dakota Intertek Corp. for Hazardous Materials Abatement, Building Demolition, and Site Clearance (Phase 3) at Westlawn Gardens Phase 2; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that funds for these services will come from the Capital Fund Program 2018 Grant; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper officers of the Authority be and hereby are authorized and directed to properly execute said contract for and on behalf of the Authority; and, be it

FURTHER RESOLVED, that if any extensions of the time of performance are needed the Chairman and Secretary-Executive Director may approve such request without any further action of the Authority; and, be it
