Title

Substitute resolution relating to the acceptance of funding from the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District to proceed with conducting a disparity study.

Analysis

This resolution accepts funds in the amount of $99,000 from the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) and approves an Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement between the City of Milwaukee and the MMSD for the purposes of procuring the services of a consultant for the purpose of conducting a disparity study.

Body

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee and the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District wish to enter into an agreement relative to work that may be done by a consultant for the purpose of conducting a disparity study; and

 

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee, acting through the Department of Administration, Business Operations Division, is in the process of procuring the services of a consultant for the purposes of conducting a disparity study as described in the Request for Proposal issued by the City on June 6, 2008 (Exhibit 1), as revised in the amended scope of work (Exhibit 2); and

 

Whereas, The Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District will contribute funds, in the amount of $99,000, toward the procurement of a consultant for the purpose of conducting a disparity study; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that funds, in the amount of $99,000, from the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District, are accepted for the purposes of procuring a consultant to conduct a disparity study; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That the proper City officials are authorized to execute this Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement with the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District, a copy of which is attached to this file.
