Substitute resolution determining it necessary to make various nonassessable public improvements at various locations and appropriating funds for these purposes with the City engineering cost estimated to be $110,000 for a total estimated cost of these projects being $787,000.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes engineering studies on projects which by City Charter are nonassessable. After design plans and estimates of costs have been prepared, a resolution authorizing construction will be submitted to the Common Council. The City cost for engineering these projects is estimated to be $110,000 with the total cost estimated to be $787,000.

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it is necessary and in the public interest to do the following described improvements according to City specifications:
3rd Aldermanic District
E. Windsor Pl. - N. Summit Ave. to N. Lake Dr. (SM495070087) File Number 070266: Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $10,000 Additional Funds). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $76,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2009 construction season.
6th Aldermanic District
N. Palmer St. - 300 feet m/l north of E. Townsend St. to E. Keefe Ave. (SM495090005): Relaying combined sewer. The total estimated cost for this project is $87,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2009 construction season.
8th and 12th Aldermanic Districts
W. Pierce St. - S. 20th St. to S. 21st St. (SM495080025): Relaying combined sewer. The total estimated cost for this project is $110,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2009 construction season.
13th Aldermanic District
Mitchell Interchange Local Review (ST320080201) (1030-20-00) File Number 071594: Review Costs Associated with the Reconstruction of the Mitchell Interchange. (Grantor Reimbursable Paving Fund -- $100,000.00)
These funds are to be transferred to the review account (ST320080201).

Large Diameter Sewer Exam Contract. (SM495090003): Combined and storm sewer exams. The total estimated cost for this project is $314,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2009 construction season.

Further Resolved, That all City Departments are authorized to perform engineering, surveys, plan preparation, and determine an estimated cost thereof; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Department of Public Works is authorized to use the funding as specified in the above description of work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
