Resolution amending the composition of the Advisory Board of the Milwaukee Youth Council’s Restorative Justice Initiative.
Analysis
This resolution amends Common Council File No. 151053 to eliminate the requirement that the Milwaukee Youth Council President’s appointee to the Restorative Justice Initiative Advisory Board be a member of the Milwaukee Youth Council, replacing it with a requirement that the Youth Council President’s appointee simply be a member of the community with an interest in juvenile justice.

Whereas, The Advisory Board of the Milwaukee Youth Council’s Restorative Justice Initiative was created by Common Council File No. 151053, adopted on February 9, 2016; and
Whereas, The Advisory Board consists of 7 members, including one member of the Milwaukee Youth Council appointed by the Youth Council President; and
Whereas, The Youth Council desires to widen the pool of available candidates for appointment by the Youth Council President to the Advisory Board; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that Common Council File No. 151053 is amended to delete item 1 in the second “Further Resolved” clause and replace it with the following:
1. One member of the community with an interest in juvenile justice, appointed by the Youth Council President.
