Title

A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2017 rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service.

Analysis

This substitute ordinance changes the rates of pay in the following departments:

Department of Administration - Information and Technology Management Division, Library, Police Department, Department of Public Works

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 160596 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under Pay Range 1EX, amend footnote “(6)” to read as follows:

 

“(6)                     Recruitment at $2,729.50 biweekly ($70,967).

 

Part 2.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 160596 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 25, 2017 - December 3, 2017):

 

Under Pay Range 1BX, add the title “Operations Services Supervisor (1)”.

 

Part 3.  Part 1, Section 2 of ordinance File Number 160596 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 24, 2017 - November 19, 2017):

 

Under Pay Range 2EN, delete the title “IT Support Specialist (5)(8)” and add the title “IT Support Specialist (5)(17) with footnote “(17)” to read as follows:

 

“(17)                     Recruitment is at $1,950.62 ($50,716.12) and may be at any rate in the pay range based upon experience and credentials with the approval of DER.

 

Part 4.  Part 1, Section 2 of ordinance File Number 160596 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 25, 2017 - December 3, 2017):

 

Under Pay Range 2FX, add the title “DPW Operations Business Analyst”.

 

Part 5.  Part 1, Section 2 of ordinance File Number 160596 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 26, 2017 - December 17, 2017):

 

Under Pay Range 2HX, add the title “Accountant and Grant Specialist (1)” and add the title “Water Works Personnel Officer”.

 

Under Pay Range 2IX, add the title “IT Security and Audit Compliance Analyst (6)” with the footnote to read as follows:

 

“(6)                     Recruitment at any rate in the pay range based upon experience and credentials with the approval of DER.”

 

Part 6.  Part 1, Section 8 of ordinance File Number 160596 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under Pay Range 8NN, change “Official Rate Hourly” to “Official Rate Biweekly”.

 

Under Pay Range 8ON, change “Official Rate Hourly” to “Official Rate Biweekly”.

 

Under Pay Range 8QN, change “Official Rate Hourly” to “Official Rate Biweekly”.

 

Part 7.  Part 3, Section D of ordinance File Number 160596 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under Part III, Section D., amend “Safety Commission” to read “Safety and Civic Commission”.

 

Part 8.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

Part 9.  The provisions of Part 3 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 24, 2017 (November 19, 2017).

 

Part 10.  The provisions of Parts 2 and 4 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 25, 2017 (December 3, 2017).

 

Part 11.  The provisions of Part 5 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 26, 2017 (December 17, 2017).

 

The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.

 

Part 12.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
