Title

A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2018 offices and positions in the City Service.

Analysis

This substitute ordinance changes the rates of pay in the following departments:

Department of Administration-Information and Technology Management Division, Common Council - City Clerk, Library, Municipal Court, Police Department, Department of Public Works

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 170681 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under “Common Council-City Clerk, Central Administration Division”, add designation “(X)” to the title “Community Outreach Liaison”.

 

Part 2.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 170681 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 24, 2017 - November 19, 2017):

 

Under “Library, Technical Services Bureau, Automation Section”, delete two positions of “Network Analyst - Assistant (X)”, delete three positions of “IT Support Specialist”, and add five positions of “IT Support Specialist (X)”.

 

Part 3.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 170681 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 25, 2017 - December 3, 2017):

 

Under “Municipal Court, Management and Administration”, delete one position of “Network Manager” and add one position of “IT Support Services Supervisor”.

 

Under “Department of Public Works - Administration Services Division, Office of the Commissioner”, delete one position of “Program Assistant I”.

 

Under “Department of Public Works - Operations Division, Administration Section, General Office, add one position of “DPW Operations Business Analyst”, add one position of “Operations Services Supervisor”, add one position of “Program Assistant III”, and delete one position of “Program Assistant I”.

 

Under “Sanitation Section”, delete one position of “Program Assistant II”.

 

Part 4.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 170681 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 26, 2017 - December 17, 2017):

 

Under “Department of Administration-Information and Technology Management Division, Policy and Administration Section”, delete one position of “Security and Audit Compliance Analyst” and add one position of “IT Security and Audit Compliance Analyst”.

 

Under “Police Department, Budget and Finance Division”, delete one position of “Accountant III” and add one position of “Accounting and Grant Specialist”.

 

Under “Department of Public Works - Water Works, Business Organization, and Administration”, add one position of “Water Works Personnel Officer”.

 

Under “Engineering Division, Engineering Design”, delete one position of “Office Assistant IV”.

 

Part 5.  Part 1, Section 5 of ordinance File Number 170681 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under Section 5, amend “Safety Commission” to read “Safety and Civic Commission”.

 

Part 6.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

Part 7.  The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 24, 2017 (November 19, 2017).

 

Part 8.  The provisions of Part 3 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 25, 2017 (December 3, 2017).

 

Part 9.  The provisions of Part 4 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 26, 2017 (December 17, 2017).

 

The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.

 

Part 10.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
