Title

A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2017 offices and positions in the City Service.

Analysis

This substitute ordinance changes the rates of pay in the following departments:

Election Commission, Employes’ Retirement System, Police Department

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 160594 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

Under “Police Department”, amend footnote “(S)” to read as follows:

“(S)                     State Beat Patrol Grant:  To expire 12/31/17 unless the State Beat Patrol Program Grant available from the State of Wisconsin, Office of Justice Assistance, is extended.”

Part 2.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 160594 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 23, 2017 - November 5, 2017):

Under “Employes’ Retirement System, Information Systems”, delete one position of “Sr. Database Administrator”, delete one position of “Sr. Java Developer”, add one position of “ERS Software Developer”, and add one position of “ERS Database Administrator”.

Part 3.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 160594 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 25, 2017 - December 3, 2017):

Under “Election Commission, General Office”, delete one position of “Program Assistant I” and add one position of “Program Assistant I - Bilingual”.

Part 4.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

Part 5.  The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 23, 2017 (November 5, 2017).

Part 6.  The provisions of Part 3 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 25, 2017 (December 3, 2017).

The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.

Part 7.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
