Analysis
This ordinance establishes a requirement for all city employees who work at sites other than municipal buildings to carry city-issued cellular telephones while engaged in city work.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 350-222 of the code is created to read:
350-222. Cellular Telephones.
1. AUTHORITY. The department of employee relations shall create, issue, and implement a policy for all employees working at sites other than municipal buildings to carry city-issued cellular telephones while engaged in city work in accordance with the procedure specified in sub. 2.
2. PROCEDURE. The department of employee relations shall promulgate rules for the implementation and issuance of cellular telephones.
