Title

A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2017 rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service.

 

Analysis

This substitute ordinance changes the rates of pay in the following departments:

Police Department, Department of Public Works

 

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 160596 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 23, 2017 - November 5, 2017):

 

Under Pay Range 1EX, delete the title of “Electrical Services Supervisor I”, add the title “Traffic Sign and Machine Shop Supervisor (13)”, and add footnote “(13)” to read as follows:

 

“(13)                      Recruitment is at $2,379.86 biweekly ($61,876.36)”

 

Under Pay Range 1JX, add designation “(3)” to the title “Electrical Services Operations Manager” and add footnote “(3)” to read as follows:

 

“(3)                      Recruitment is at $3,266.81 biweekly ($84,937.17) with recruitment at any point in the range with DER approval.”

                     

Under Pay Range 1HX, add designation “(4)” to the title “Electrical Services Manager - Senior” and add footnote “(4)” to read as follows:

 

“(4)                      Recruitment is at $3,202.76 biweekly ($83,271.74) with recruitment at any point in the range with DER approval.”

                     

Under Pay Range 1GX, delete the title of “Electrical Services Supervisor II”, delete footnote “(1)”, add designations “(1)” and “(4)” to the title “Electrical Services Manager”, and add footnotes “(1)” and “(4)” to read as follows:

 

“(1)                      The employee designated to hold the Type C Contractors Electrical License for the City shall receive an additional $120 per pay period.”

 

(4)                      Recruitment is at $3,139.96 biweekly ($81,638.96) with recruitment at any point in the range with DER approval.”

 

Part 2.  Part 1, Section 2 of ordinance File Number 160596 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 23, 2017 - November 5, 2017):

 

Under Pay Range 2EX, add the title “Safety and Civic Coordinator”.

 

Part 3.  Part 1, Section 7 of ordinance File Number 160596 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 23, 2017 - November 5, 2017):

 

Under Pay Range 7KN, add the title “Sign and Marking Technician (8)” and add footnote “(8)” to read as follows:

 

“(8)                      Recruitment is at $2,257.46 biweekly ($58,693.96).”

 

Part 4.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

Part 5.  The provisions of Parts 1, 2, and 3 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 23, 2017 (November 5, 2017).

 

The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.

 

Part 6.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
