This resolution authorizes the City to accept food from the informal restaurant community group collectively known as The Milwaukee Kitchen Cabinet.
Body
Whereas, Section 304-24 of the Code of Ordinances regulates the receipt, appropriation, and expenditure of contributions received to the City; and
Whereas, City Hall is hosting a Hispanic History Month photography exhibition entitled “Diego & Frida - A Smile Halfway Through the Journey” from September 25, 2017 through October 5, 2017 sponsored by the Department of Administration, the Mexican Consulate, and Ald. José Pérez; and
Whereas, An opening reception for the photography exhibition will be held on September 29, 2017; and
Whereas, The informal restaurant community group, collectively known as The Milwaukee Kitchen Cabinet, wishes to donate a gift of food for the event; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the City Clerk is directed to accept a gift of food from The Milwaukee Kitchen Cabinet for the opening reception for the photography exhibition to be held on September 29, 2017; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Common Council expresses its gratitude to the members of The Milwaukee Kitchen Cabinet for their generous gift.
