Title
Resolution directing the Department of City Development to prepare a resolution to vacate the southernmost portion of the north-south alley in the block bounded by West Silver Spring Drive, West Thurston Avenue, North 41st Street and North 42nd Street, in the 1st Aldermanic District.
Analysis
This resolution directs the Department of City Development to prepare a resolution to vacate said portion of alley in accordance with vacation proceedings under power granted to the City of Milwaukee by Section 62.73, Wisconsin Statutes, and Section 308-28, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances. This vacation was requested by the Department of City Development to consolidate land holdings as part of the former Carleton School redevelopment project and to reflect existing conditions.

Whereas, It has been proposed by the Department of City Development that the southernmost portion of the north-south alley in the block bounded by West Silver Spring Drive, West Thurston Avenue, North 41st Street and North 42nd Street be vacated pursuant to the provisions of Section 62.73, Wisconsin Statutes; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Department of City Development is directed to prepare a resolution to vacate said portion of alley in accordance with Section 308-28 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances.
