Title
Substitute resolution authorizing the release of funds from the Milwaukee Police Department’s 4715 West Vliet Street Renovation 2009 capital account.
Analysis
This resolution approves the phase two renovation plan for the Police Department’s 4715 West Vliet Street facility and releases the 2009 capital budget funds required for this project. This resolution is submitted in compliance with Common Council File Number 081006.
Body
Whereas, Common Council File Number 081006 made the release of funds for the Milwaukee Police Department’s renovation of the 4715 West Vliet Street facility contingent on the Common Council review and approval of a renovation plan; and
Whereas, A phase two renovation plan outlining mechanical and fire safety upgrades necessary for legal occupancy of the second floor of the 4715 West Vliet Street Police facility is attached to this resolution; and
Whereas, This plan also includes estimated construction costs and a funding source for costs not covered by the 2009 capital budget appropriation; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the renovation plan attached to this resolution is approves and the 2009 capital funds for the further improvement of the 4715 West Vliet Street Police facility are released.
