Resolution approving and authorizing the settlement of a judgment against KSB Construction & Development LLC for property located at 3345 N. 6^th  Street.

Body

Whereas, KSB was formed in 2005 and operated for approximately 2 years as a general contractor for remodeling and rehabilitation projects; and

Whereas, KSB is no longer in operation and does not have nor does it expect to have any further income; and

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee (“the City) through the Kohn Law Firm (“Kohn”) filed suit in 2008 against KSB Construction and Development LLC, for razing, grading, and seeding costs expended by the City for property located at 3345 N. 6^th Street; and

Whereas, Kohn obtained a judgment for $23,109.62; and

Whereas, KSB’s only significant asset was the property located at the above referenced address which is now a vacant lot; and

Whereas, Kohn has negotiated a proposed settlement of the judgment in the amount of  $10,000; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Judgment against KSB be settled for $10,000; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the all accrued interest, penalties, fees, and costs be cancelled.
