Title
A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2017 offices and positions in the City Service.
Analysis
This substitute ordinance changes the rates of pay in the following departments:
Fire Department, Health Department, Port of Milwaukee, Department of Public Works
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 160594 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under “Health Department”, amend footnote “(Q)” to read as follows:
“(Q) To expire 09/30/18 unless the FIT Families (WIC) from the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services, is extended.”
Under “Disease Control and Environmental Health Services Division, Survnet Grant”, delete footnote designation “(T)” from one position of “Office Assistant III (A)(T)(P)” and amend the footnote to read as follows:
“(T) To expire 07/31/18 unless the SURVNET ACA Grant available from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, is extended.”
Under “Empowering Families of Milwaukee Program”, delete one position of “Health Project Assistant - DAD (X)(E)(LL)” and delete one position of “Public Health Social Worker (X)(E)”.
Under “Men’s Health Program”, add footnote designation “(E)” to one position of “Men’s Health Manager (X)(Y)” and amend the footnote to read as follows:
“(E) To expire 09/30/18 unless the Family Foundations Comprehensive Home Visiting Grant is extended. Partially funds one Men’s Health Manager.”
Under “Laboratory Services Division”, delete footnote designation “(D)” from one position of “Laboratory Information Systems Specialist (D)” and amend the footnote to read as follows:
“(D) To expire 07/31/18 unless the Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity Grant is extended.”
Under “Office of Violence Prevention”, add one position of “Crisis Intervention Specialist(X)(Y)(H)” and amend footnote “(H)” to read as follows:
“(H) To expire 09/30/18 unless the Recast Milwaukee Project Grant is extended. Also partially funds one one Violence Prevention Manager.”
Part 2. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 160594 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2017 - January 1, 2017):
Under “Port of Milwaukee, Cargo Handling-Maintenance and Repair Section”, delete one position of “Port Mechanic”, delete six positions of “Port Maintenance Technician”, delete one position of “Port Maintenance Technician IV”, and add eight positions of “Port Operations Technician”.
Part 3. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 160594 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 18, 2017 - August 27, 2017):
Under “Fire Department, Support Services Bureau Decision Unit”, delete one position of “Administrative Assistant IV” and add one position of “Administrative Services Coordinator”.
Under “Support Services Bureau Decision Unit, Administration Division”, delete one position of “Microcomputer Services Assistant”, delete two positions of “Office Assistant III”, add one position of “Program Assistant II”, and add two positions of “Office Assistant IV”.
Part 4. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 160594 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 21, 2017 - October 8, 2017):
Under “Department of Public Works-Infrastructure Services Division, Administration and Transportation Section, Business Operations”, delete one position of “Administrative Specialist-Senior” and add one position of “Accountant III”.
Part 5. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 160594 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 22, 2017 - October 22, 2017):
Under “Health Department, Compliance and Finance Division”, add one position of “Public Health Planner (X)(I)”, and add footnote “(I)” to read as follows:
“(I) To expire 9/30/18 unless the Preventive Health Grant is extended.”
Under “Family and Community Health Services Division, Women’s Infant’s and Children’s Nutrition Program Grant (C)”, delete one position of “Office Assistant II-Bilingual (X)(C)”, add one position of “Program Assistant I-Bilingual (X)(C)”, delete one position of “Administrative Assistant IV(X)(C)”, and add one position of “Program Assistant I (X)(C)”.
Under “Payroll Services”, delete one position of “Personnel Payroll Assistant II” and add one position of “Personnel Payroll Assistant III”.
Under “Department of Public Works - Infrastructure Services Division, Bridges & Buildings Decision Unit, Mechanical Services”, delete one position of “Operations & Maintenance Manager” and add one position of “Facilities Manager”.
Under “Department of Public Works - Parking Fund, Parking Administration/Meters”, delete one position of “Parking Operations Coordinator”, delete one position of “Parking Operations Supervisor”, delete one position of “Parking Operations Manager”, add one position of “Parking Services Manager”, and add two positions of “Parking Services Supervisor”.
Part 6. All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Part 7. The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2017 (January 1, 2017).
Part 8. The provisions of Part 3 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 18, 2017 (August 27, 2017).
Part 9. The provisions of Part 4 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 21, 2017 (October 8, 2017).
Part 10. The provisions of Part 5 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 22, 2017 (October 22, 2017).
The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.
Part 11. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
