Analysis
This resolution amends Common Council File #150712 relative to the acceptance and funding of the Climate Change and Public Health Learning Collaborative for Urban Health Departments Grant from the Center for Climate Change & Health in the amount of $30,000. The purpose of the grant is to implement a multi-tiered approach that simultaneously addresses climate change adaptation and promotes community health and health equity through sustainably improving food security, decreasing storm-water runoff, and mitigation through decreasing the carbon emissions associated with transportation of food and water treatment and transmission.

Body
Whereas, Common Council File #150712 authorized the Health Department to accept and fund the Climate Change and Public Health Learning Collaborative for Urban Health Departments Grant from the Center for Climate Change & Health; and

Whereas, The total expenditures for this program has been increased by $10,000 to a total of $40,000 of which all is provided by the grantor; and

Whereas, The operation of this grant project from 01/01/16 to 12/31/17 would now cost $40,000 entirely provided by the grantor; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application of the grant from the Center for Climate Change & Health is authorized and the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Milwaukee Code of Ordinances Section 304-81; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
