Substitute resolution authorizing the Milwaukee Police Department to enter into an extension to the Law Enforcement and Security Services Agreement with the Forrest County Potawatomi Community.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Milwaukee Police Department enter into an extension to the overtime Agreement with the Forrest County Potawatomi Community. This extension will extend the agreement for the period October 1, 2016 through October 31, 2017 in the amount of $300,000.
BODY:
Whereas, The term of the latest agreement expired on September 30, 2016; and
Whereas, the parties desire to extend the term of that agreement for an additional one year term ending October 31, 2017 in the amount of $300,000; and
Whereas, The Police Department may enter into agreements exceeding $50,000 that have been approved by the Chief of Police as indicated in Section 312-26, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the attached agreement extension with the Forrest County Potawatomi Community, is authorized, and the Police Department shall accept these funds without further approval.
