Resolution authorizing the issuance of a street occupancy permit to Miron Construction for construction activities at North Market Street, south of North Water Street and north or East Knapp Street, adjacent to the property at 210 East Knapp Street in the 3rd Aldermanic District.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes City officials to issue an occupancy permit to Miron Construction allowing them to occupy the western half of North Market Street between North Water Street and East Knapp Street.
Body
Whereas, Miron Construction has been contracted to to construct a new office building at 210 East Knapp Street; and
Whereas, Miron Construction has requested to occupy the western half of North Market Street between North Water Street and East Knapp Street beginning May 8, 2017 through November 30, 2017; and
Whereas, Miron Construction will be responsible to contact all affected property owners and businesses informing them of the closure of the streets and the affected dates; and
Whereas, The Commissioner of Public Works may approve temporary occupancy of up to one-third of the width of the right of way while temporary use beyond that point must be approved by the Common Council; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to issue an occupancy permit to Miron Construction allowing them to occupy the western half of North Market Street between North Water Street and East Knapp Street; and, be it
Further Resolved, That Miron Construction is also permitted to occupy the sidewalk on the western side of North Market Street between North Water Street and East Knapp Street.
